It’s possible for any B2B SaaS product to reach $10k MRR and beyond.

Broadly speaking I think it’s possible for any B2B SaaS product to reach $10k MRR and beyond.

If you have good product-founder fit, you price sensibly, spend 50% of your time on marketing, and don’t give up too early, I think it’s basically an inevitability.

And if you can reach $10k you can reach $20k…

If you can reach $20k you can reach $40k…

If you can reach $40k…

SaaS products built by technical founders usually die because of one of:

  • founder loses interest
  • founder isn’t doing any marketing
  • founder isn’t charging enough

It’s never because the product itself isn’t good.

If you’re losing interest, pivot to something you are truly interested in. Life is too short to work on stuff that we don’t care about.

If you’re not doing marketing do what I do: 1 week of code, 1 week of marketing, repeat.

If your prices are too cheap, raise them.

Developer imposter syndrome usually inhibits dev founders from increasing prices. “This thing I’ve built is not worth $99 a month!”.

Use that anxiety to your advantage. Up the price to $99. Now it’s your job to make it worth that price.
